As we have become the trusted resource for all things related to home, food and lifestyle, the power of the Scripps Networks brand is taking us into new business areas.

Food Network-branded home goods are available in Kohl's stores nationwide and at Kohl's.com. The popular Food Network product line includes cookware, dinnerware, kitchen gadgets, cutlery, pantryware, food storage, kitchen electrics and table linens.   

This spring, the new New York Yankees baseball stadium debuted Food Network food stands, serving quality takes on classics like burgers, hot dogs and fries, as well as dishes such as Puerto Rican-style pork sandwiches, Chinese cold noodles and soft tacos, incorporating the ethnic cuisines of New York City, Food Network's hometown. 

Through a partnership with toymaker NAMCO Bandai, Food Network created a new way of experiencing the world of cooking with the Food Network: Cook or Be Cooked game for Wii™. With inviting introductory lessons for the novice cook and more advanced levels for “foodies” who want to put their gastronomic skills to the test, the game provides players with the proper instructions and techniques to become a star chef no matter the experience level. 

In the fall, toy maker JAKKS Pacific will release a new Girl Gourmet Cake Bakery featuring Duff Goldman, world-renowned baker of Food Network's Ace of Cakes. With the cake bakery, young chefs can create elaborate mini 2-tiered fondant cakes after baking them for just 30 seconds in the microwave.

Possibly Food Network's greatest expansion story comes in the form of Food Network Magazine. With more people entertaining and cooking at home, this was the perfect time to introduce the new publication. The first issues really hit a sweet spot with consumers who are looking for fun, delicious, accessible recipes, and yet another way to connect with the network's on-air chefs and personalities. The newsstand and subscription response has exceeded expectations, more than doubling since the premiere issue.

Coming off a huge success with its first venture into the world of product licensing, HGTV will release its third home-design software title this fall. Last year, the brand introduced two home-design software suites that were sold in Office Max, Office Depot, Staples, Target, Sam's Clubs and Amazon.com, among other outlets. The products quickly rose to the top of the category, becoming the number-one selling home-design software in just a few months. HGTV also has its feelers out for future deals with licensed home and garden related goods, which should debut in 2010.

Finally, HGTV, Food Network and DIY Network books and DVDs are available online in
HGTV.com's Market Place, and the FoodNetwork.com store, as well as though retailers across the country.
